Weiterlesen Il collio regala vini favolosi e panorami bellissimi, e poi ci sono le tipiche trattorie dove la cucina casalinga la fa da padrone. ho mangiato degli affettati davvero straordinari, una menzione particolare al prosciutto crudo, poi un piatto di Zlikrofi, tortelli ripieni di patate e pancetta con buro fuso e ricotta affumicata (piatto tipico di Idria), e poi pollo fritto, lubianska e civapcici .il vino della casa che dire.. ottimo come in tutto il collio sia italiano che sloveno. d'estate il posto si presta a cene all'aperto

Then comes finding a parking spot in Trieste… fortunately they were very kind when we arrived and although one could see the waiters were overwhelmed, they took very good care of us. My wife had a vegetarian Parmigiana dei Mare and I had the Baccalá. Both dishes were good and well worth their price. We were not incredibly dazzled but this was a very good experience, hence the 4 stars. Would recommend to anyone.

We asked for a little more and they brought a second tiny bowl of chips. There were 5 people working at that time and the place was more than half empty. We ordered at that point a second round of drinks, and we waited around 10-15mins to start getting 3 of the 7 drinks we asked (obviously with no food). After 25 mins, we told the waitress that she could have cancelled the other orders and we asked for our check. Without any apologizes, they charges us for all drinks we had and we made them notice that it would have been really nice of them to not charge us for the 3 drinks of the second round considering the very poor service. No discount because their manager wasn’t there and they couldn’t authorize that. Such a shame for a place with so much potential…

Unfortunately the waiters were a bit inattentive when it came to take the order, serving drinks or bringing the cutlery (they even took away my knife and forgot to replace it with a fish-knife). The dishes were average. I had a six-course seafood menu. The fish-tartare was ok, followed by the most uninspired scallops I have ever seen eaten. Really nothing outstanding here. The 5 course casanova menu did not seem to be any better, and rips as main course (with a totally wrong translation in the menu) are a bit cheap as well. to sum up: it was not worth the price at all.

Weiterlesen The food tasted freshly prepared (i.e. no frozen vegetables/frozen salmon or meat , the waiter was friendly and I would definitely recommend to eat there. We went on a Thursday night and it looked like they already had practically the whole place reserved (albeit the place is a little small so I would say make a reservation beforehand. Overall good food, the only thing I would say is that this restaurant is a mix of Japanese and Thai and if you were born in Japan or Thailand or are very into Japanese and Thai food, the “authenticity” of the food might not be what you’re use to for a certain dish (i.e. certain spices or ingredients in making the food; my dish was the Salmon Curry and it was spicy, which is difficult to find here and tasted authentic, but the Japanese dish my friend had tasted good but he says it didn’t taste like home for him BUT it is still a wonderful restaurant with delicious food and great service so I give it 5 stars : Also, normal menu is a little pricier than other places.
