Weiterlesen We recently returned from Maui, HI and stayed at the Fairmont, Kea Lani. I thought I’d share my overall thoughts experience: In summary wonderful vacation, Maui is a beautiful location and we highly recommend the trip down there! In terms of accommodation at the Fairmont see Pros and cons below: Pros: Cleanliness – Property overall was well looked after, pool cleaned, cabana areas, beach front Concierge Bell staff Pool side servers– Very helpful and accommodating – few names to mention and deserve specific praise “Missy” [concierge], “Ruby” poolside Cabana server very polite and helpful, “Anika” [concierge] and all the Bell staff when you arrive or require the Fairmont vehicles – this was super helpful and a great service! The cars will take you to any destination in the local Wailea area close proximity to the Fairmont. We used it for trips to the local supermarket namely “Island Gourmet” stock up on food, supplies beach attire and souvenirs etc. Also the car service was useful for trips to local Avis Car rental office and the Four seasons hotel where we spent the bulk of our time eating at their wonderful restaurants! Decent size accommodation we stayed in a two bed partial ocean view [with balcony] suite was large enough for 2 Adults and 2 kids with good size bathroom and living area. Cabana rental – Highly recommend on a daily basis especially with kids. Cost $300 USD day includes soft drinks, ice cream towels and of course shelter from the sun. “Joston” Cabana employee very helpful and courteous. Close proximity to the Ocean – just steps down to a beautiful, well maintained private beach, towels and chairs provided – we really made use of this on a daily basis with the kids! You can also rent out Boogie boards and other items snorkel fins etc. Pools were superb kids loved the fun slide and secret hot tub. Plus there was an adult pool well maintained, very clean and hygienic Transportation – to and from airport provided by Fairmont very impressive service and the use of the Fairmont vehicles in the vicinity of Wailea – very convenient! Cons: Noise pollution construction: there are MAJOR renovations taking place currently and while we received a ‘brief’ email ahead of traveling down to Hawaii and there is a statement on the website it does not really highlight the sheer size of renovation taking place currently! The noise is absolutely awful, it’s literally like being back in NYC walking along and listening to the various building site constructions i.e. Jack Hammers pretty much the majority of the day 9 5pm [with a one hour lunch break] but you simply cannot escape the volume of the noise. The hotel should have done a better job of preparing guests since it’s not a small project [apparently it will last 6 months until Dec 2023] so you should be aware and ready for this if you continue to book the Fairmont! Ultimately, when we were by the cabana and poolside over time we got used to the continuous incessant jack hammer and loud bangs, but it’s not tranquil there, after all this is your relaxing vacation! Do yourself a favor and request a room that is not in the close proximity of the Lobby renovation. We were moved away from the construction area thankfully! We were also compensated for majority of our Cabanas and the resort Fees were waived which was a decent gesture considering all the awful noise we had to endure during our stay! “Allen” kindly took care of this at poolside and ensured we were reimbursed and well looked after. Housekeeping – This was quite challenging at times, the rooms were made up to an ok standard but it was rather frustrating since they kept taking the drink ware from the room on a daily basis which would result in myself or my wife having to call down to have replacements! Restaurants at the Fairmont not impressive and variety is limited! We ate at Ko and the food was pretty disappointing. We had a reservation at Nick’s but we were put off by the outside appearance i.e. some of the doors hanging off the hinges on account of the work that is occurring currently one wou

Co-worker had Roast Turkey with stuffing, rice and cranberry sauce. Another co-worker had chicken hekka. And another had the hamburger steak with rice and gravy (Loco moco hold the eggs). Definitely a place for comfort food.

Weiterlesen Bangkok Chef offers a great casual culinary experience with a beautiful selection of menu items. I prefer this Manoa location due to the availability of parking spaces. Most menu items here are served quite quickly. Also, for the price point, the flavors are fantastic. As long as the quality of food remains the same and prices remain affordable, this place gets five stars. 6/1/2018 update: Tried the Thai Style pho and the Summer Rolls. I was impressed by both courts. The Thai style pho had a generous amount of meat, onions, fried garlic and other things in it. I also like the thicker noodles. The summer rolls were also tasty and had thinner noodles in them as well as no runners.

This place was amazing, came on my birthday with my wife and we had a terrific experience, the atmosphere was nice and the people were amazing to interact with....
