Weiterlesen We have been many times over the last decade but stopped due to Covid. We were very impressed as they revamped the decor internally and externally when they had to shut due to Covid. In our view the food is even better than before and it was good then. The service was brilliant with both waiters running fast to the kitchen throughout service. The ambiance superb under the trees in the garden. Highly recommend and we shall go again soon.

Weiterlesen The Hostellerie du Chateau has a nice terrace across the street offering food and drinks but the results are somewhat disappointing. Service is poor and disorganised and if the place is busy then guests wanting to eat may have to wait while tables are occupied...by guests lingering over a coffee or a bottle of mineral water. Ice is apparently rationed and if you order some rose no ice buckets appear to be available so the wine can not be enjoyed at the right temperature.!! The food menu is somewhat limited and both the steak tartare and the risotto are quite ordinary in fact. There are some 4+ waiters plus somebody preparing the drinks but for some reason sections of the restaurant have not been allocated to individual waiters resulting in disorganisation and general indifferent service. Basically the whole opportunity is being wasted and we will not be returning other than perhaps for a drink. The terrace is well protected from the sun with multiple large parasols , however there is a good place to get ice creams just down the street.!!
