Who doesn’t love biryani? I am hardcore biryani fan but this biryani is sheer love. Aromatic, yet simple flavours speaks all about why this place is so famous. Not for people with hygiene issues. Only for people who loves food.
If you have never come across Indian and Mughlai cuisines, you should order a table and try the menu at this restaurant. Order perfectly cooked chicken biryani, lamb and kulcha. At Idris Biryani, you can get a takeout. The friendly staff meets you at this place all year round.
For me, whatever I've heard about the idrees was true.. the hype is legit..!!! Their biryani is just on-point. Less spicy, aromatic and tender mutton pieces in it it was a 10/10 for me. But if you like your biryani spicy, then this place won't amaze you. The place has its own subtle taste. The shop is on the main road and it's mostly crowded but you can take-away easily and it won't even take 5 mins. The staff is very humble. This was my experience there. They just pack the biryani without the salad or salan even. That's one drawback. Quantity is sufficient for one person whatever you'll have.
We recently visited Lucknow. My husband is very keen foodie, he practical fid his research for the Navabi khana khazana. We came across Idrees Biryani, one of the oldest shops serving non-veg cuisine. The first day we went there, we didn't get the chance. The second day, we were in good luck. Mind you, one has to practically stand in queue for their order. Eventually, when we tasted their biryani, it was just okay. Honestly, we had great expectations, but it was no good. We didn't like the packing, too, plus their rates are high.
