Restaurant bewertenThe attention was excellent, that was also eating. a good place to eat and rest when it is through colca canion. we forgot our baby car and they were really gentle to send him to arequipa, we are really grateful
Based on reviews, we went with high expectations. It’s far above a typical tourist bus buffet although we felt the food could have been a little better (we live in Peru, and know the cuisine well). They charge s/40 an adult and s/25 for children...(including our 3yo who ears very little) so it’s tourist prices for sure. We made a reservation but were late, and they waited for us. They let us know we were their last guests so the food left was for us. It was about 1:45pm, and all the food seemed to have been prepared by 11am based on freshness. Some things like aji de gallina are fine sitting, but the French fries in the alpaca saltado were soggy, and we were told there were no more. There were highlights and lowlights, but the advantage of a buffet is you can try various foods. The potatoes and cheese were fishy which was strange! The pesto noodles (Peruvian fideos verdes) were good. The fideos a la huaicaina needed salt (easily remedied). There are about 5 main dishes and then several accompanying starches and a few veggies. None of the latter were good except white rice. Main dishes were hit and miss on flavor, but enough good things to get a filling. Not the amazing cuisine experience we expected based on reviews. Fruit would be a nice addition. The main priority for the restaurant should be to improve the food taste or consistency (if we were there on an off day or time of day). We dealt with one attentive waiter as the rest of the staff was cleaning in the kitchen, and we had the place to ourselves. The chirimoya ice cream was a highlight. The restaurant is clean, not crowded, with nice bathrooms and convenient location. Those features alone make it worth adding to a Colca itinerary, but there is a lot of room for them to improve as well.
Stopped here for lunch on our bus tour in through the Colca Canyon. Food was excellent, all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Mamma Juanita, the owner, endures everyone has something delicious to eat. I personally recommend the corn soup, and the avocado salad ..I'm a vegetarian), but everyone in our group raved about the food. Large bathrooms, spotless, with soap and paper towels.
Our tour group brought us to this quaint restaurant after viewing the condors in Colca Canyon. The food was delicious with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods in the buffet. The Chef, and owner, was a doll, and will share her poems with you,...if you ask. The chef prepares her menu based on what she finds in the market that morning. Most of her ingredients are locally sourced. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The decorations are colorful and appealing. This is a great stop for a delicious gastronomical adventure. I highly recommend it.
The home cooking is served in a restaurant. delicious food, simple parking and wonderful staff. I'd hear.
