We ate lunch there this week and although the service was slow and even a little irritating, we were satisfied with our food. We asked for their hottest salsa and the waitperson brought us some good stuff . Out taco salads were quite good. They lacked the tomatoes that the menu described but, all in all, good and a portion I couldn 't finish. The room appeared clean and adequately lit, if on the clunky side with heavy furniture. Clinton is a small town and unless you want to drive to Jackson, Las Margaritas is the best they have to offer and not too shabby at that.

I recommend sticking to the sweet platters. The sandwich platter is awful. The meats and cheese are low quality, but the veg is fresh and tasted good. The bread... The bread was laid out on top of the lettuce so moisture from the lettuce made the bottoms of the bread soggy. I ordered purchased it for Valentine’s Day to have what the menu described; an assortment of meats, cheeses and condiments. I got roughly half of the selection and only one kind of cheese. I tossed the whole thing and will need to come up with a new plan. I’m pretty upset about it because I paid for quality and convenience. I am not serving this to my husband for his Valentine’s Day dinner. It looks like a sad lunch plate you would expect at a corporate meeting. I was expecting variety something light we could nosh on together while watching a movie. Very disappointed at the outcome. Be sure you ask exactly what to expect so you don’t have the same experience.

I loved the pork belly appetizer they had as a special, but was not a fan of the Caesar salad. My wife liked her poached pear salad. The shrimp and grits would have been better with less chopped up vegetables on top because the shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sausage was nice and spicy. My wife’s steak was delicious. We’ll be coming back to try more dishes.
