Weiterlesen This review refers to the restauraunt and bar area of Benihana and not to the actual Teppanyaki service, as we did not opt for the actual Teppanyaki (where they cook the food before you). The beverage selection is fantastic, a variety of colors and shades allow a wide selection, no matter whether your mood. Most people go here for Teppanyaki, but on the bar side they have a large sushi selection and sushi cuisine make the food right at the bar in their own sushi kitchen area. We chose 2 sushi boats and their spicy salmon that were all excellent and fresh. You have Calamari as well as Bento dishes, all great alternatives to the Teppanyaki dinner when you are in the mood for appetizers and drinks, unlike the full dinner. The only reason for 4/5 is, compared to other restauraunts in the area, the sushi prices are quite high.

Received dried (not hydrated) rice paper sheets and luke warm beef, with vermicelli. When we called, they said correct items had been sent then...rudely told us we did not understand. The picture on their menu is very clear and this is not what we received, and to have such terrible customer service is not acceptable. And we paid $8.00 delivery for a meal we did not eat. AVOID THIS PLACE, overpriced, food arrives not as ordered, and not hot.

With Celiac Disease, they said they take cross-contamination very seriously but that they only have one deep dryer, so if you have Celiac Disease they said don’t get anything deep fried. Further, although they said there is flour in their kitchen, they said that they don’t bake homemade buns, pizza dough, desserts, etc. with regular flour which mitigates airborne flour risk. All of their desserts they make are gluten free! Sadly, they don’t deliver but do have online ordering for pick-up.

Never had a bad experience in-restaurant, however, every single time I have ordered take-out (4 times) they have messed up my order (NOT by contaminating it though. Just forgotten items/no sauce, etc). So if your first experience with them is take-out, Id say give them another chance and dine-in next time!
