Weiterlesen Steak and burger pretty good, a little on the expensive side, service a shambles, they had no idea about our booking, they thought we were there for afternoon tea, had to open the kitchen for us even though we’d booked for lunch, why let us book if you’re not ready to serve lunch at 12:30pm on a Friday…. Booking was painful in the first place the month before. Just a shambles of miscommunication and ability. We won’t return I’m afraid, this place is meant to be a top steak house in Leeds according to TA and Google, the staff are not ready for that accolade. When we asked for the bill we were presented with a card reader with an amount on the screen, with no explanation of what that total was for, the waitress mumbled something and I just paid as we needed to leave, it turned out when we got bill afterwards the service was included in that amount, shameful thing to mislead from a member of staff! The one waitress who delivered condiments and served our dessert was the only person who knew what they were doing on front of house…. Well done that lady.

They have kids meal menu options and there is a fair amount of choice on the main menu, although it's all a bit more pricey than I remember a beefeater pub being... perhaps it's been a while!! Staff seemed cheery and they were cleaning up tables fairly quickly. The main restaurant loos were not available, which meant that the bar toilets were only ones in use, which for a large restaurant pub were not very big. Also a few options on the menu that were not available. When food came it was all fine, not spectacular but fine. I gave it an extra star as they had some nice cocktail options that the wife took full advantage of (what with only a small walk to do afterwards!

In the morning for Sunday dinner today and it was amazing, both meals were breathtaking, the bark was so tender, the gravy rich and tasty with lots of fresh veg... Weiterlesen In the morning for Sunday dinner today and it was amazing, both meals were breathtaking, the bark was so tender, the gravy rich and tasty with lots of fresh vegetables, dauphinois carrots as well as fry and a Yorkshire doll, all piping hot. the minze pea risotto was so creamy and light with a delicate hauch minze. the desserts are to die for, all homemade, the lemon posset is from this world as the terry’s chocolate orange cheesecake all beautifully presented. very recommend a visit, they will not be disappointed only arrive starving as the portions are plentiful. the staff are friendly and service is efficient. well made jon, ali and the team.

Whilst awaiting our table,we had a little drink and chat with a staff member at the bar, she was very friendly and welcoming After being seated we made our choice from the menu. The food was delicious, I loved the paté. We left full that's for sure. Great atmosphere, awesome service, really busy so they are doing something right. Many thanks for an enjoyable evening.

I can't say what this is about. will come back in any case! we finished our night sat on the outside terrace with a dessert pour with rain, but we sat from the heatings under the cover. Top brands!
