When I read the other reviews, I was surprised to see that I had never contributed my opinions of La Mesa de Blanca. Now is the time for it. We have made many visits to this beautiful restaurant on the edge of Ziracuaretiro since 2010. Do not let the approach daunt or hinder you as you leave the main road of the sleepy Ziracua and cross some railway lines in an Arroyo. The spacious and airy restaurant and its parking lot will be quickly overlooked. There are two main kitchens. The larger, main room has the koi swimming in the channels. The upper dining room, known as El Refugio, is child-free and has a slightly better view of the surrounding gardens and the center of the city. But enough about the attitude. What about the food? Botanas or appetizers are inadmissible. The Carnitas, made in the house on handmade pipes and blue tortillas, also made house, are excellent. But our favorite botanas are the Chiles Kapone, the reconstituted Chiles Chilacas, filled with solid white queen, and bathed in a luscious mild salsa verde de tomatillos, and with rich Crema. You can enjoy a special tequila or local mezcal from a short but selected list. Ask for a small glass of Sangrita (not to be confused with sangria). It is a spicy, spicy drink that can be swallowed with your tequila. The rich Sangrita in La Mesa de Blanca is by far the best I had everywhere. While we are on the topic of drinks, the signature, unmistakable alcohol-free drink to order a Jarra (pitcher) from Agua de Zarzamora. It is a delicious and refreshing drink from local blackberries. Let's go to the Plato wings or main courses. We have tried many different, but have been on some favorites. Your preferences may vary. The two preparations of Conejo or Rabbit are leading. Conejo a las Brasas is simply seasoned with salt, garlic and orégano and then grilled. Conejo en Tres Jugos is a moister, delicious dish where the rabbit is boiled in three lemon juices. Another favorite dish, usually well prepared, is Mixiote de Cordero, or well seasoned lamb baked in a parchment bag. Sometimes I order Uchepos or unfilled, slightly sweet fresh, coarsely ground maize. The standard presentation is an accompaniment for a plate of pork ribs in a red Chile sauce, garnished with crema and queso fresco, but they can also be ordered individually to by themselves or as carbo with mol or whatever. I chose elsewhere, both from mercenaries and house kitchens, and the La Mesa de Blanca are by far the best. There are several other tempting dishes to choose from. My experience with fish and seafood dishes was not as satisfying as the meat dishes mentioned above. Trucha a la Talla is not bad, but IMO, trout is too tender a fish to keep its own against the stinging adobo coating. Alternatively, you can get the milder Trucha en Salsa de Macadamia. Camarones a la Diabla was not for my pleasure as the shrimps were small, too few, and the sauce was very picante. The most important courses are accompanied by a small page, such as salad, well made rice or the unforgettable Ensalada de Nopales. (Kaktus-Padsalat) Desserts in restaurants I usually don't like, although I was often tried to pamper. From the short dessert list in La Mesa de Blanca, my favorite was the damp Pastel de Macadamia. A hint of prices: Although I have chosen among the following options, prices are higher than the average. If the kitchen is best – Friday, Saturday and Sunday, less sharp on Thursday, in my experience, it is worth the cost.

Great food good vives and great music. I was visiting family and they brought me here to have a good time and let me tell you it didn't disappoint. Great mariachi music with a great show of different artist and styles we had a parrillada and a bottle of tequila bottle service was excellent and the food was so tender and tasty it was super delicious. I really recommend this place but make sure if your with kids your there early because after midnight it becomes and adult only show. So plan ahead accordingly

Great food and customer service. the employees very patiently explained the elements on the menu in English, as my espanol is not good. all his recommendations were perfect. visit here during my stay in chapalita.
