Weiterlesen Came here due to a recommendation from a local, and it was right around the corner from the Widder Hotel where we were at grabbing a drink. We were there pretty late (8:30 PM) by Swiss (and American) dinner standards so the restaurant was pretty empty! The restaurant reminds me of a classy diner. It is pretty small, and I’m not sure if I would recommend this place for a group larger than 6. The tables are pretty tiny, so the restaurant might need to wait for multiple tables to serve a large party. We had the undivided attention of our waitress. She thoroughly explained the menu and made a few recommendations for traditional Swiss options. The cappuccino was delicious, and definitely gave me the much needed caffeine boost. The Fleischkase was made really well. It was the first time I had it so I wasn’t sure what to expect! It definitely had more flavor that I anticipated. The sliced veal “Zurich style” (not pictured) was the best dish I tried here. We requested the dish without kidneys, so not sure if that would have made a difference! The cream spinach was also a tasty side and complemented the other dishes well.

Try the chicken madras (not in the menu, but was no problem) and a butter chicken. You could really taste the spices in the spicy Madras. Butter chicken was creamy and delicious too. Chicken was very tender. Kellner was very friendly and... he spoke English very well. As an Indian food lover who eats Indian food at least once a week, I definitely recommend this place!
