Weiterlesen There are few eateries open on a grey Sunday night in Koblenz in late October but this was one of them. From the outside it looked cosy and there were other diners inside so we took a chance. We entered into a room similar to...a traditional English pub but could see another much larger room beyond. The waitress was pleasant and the place looked clean. We each had a Konig Pilsner, and to eat a zanderfilet which came with vegetables and a pasta dish with mushrooms in a creamy sauce for a total of 36 Euros. It was perfectly acceptable but nothing outstanding.

Weiterlesen We stopped at the Winninger Weinstuben this past weekend for a cold glass of Moselle white wine and an appetizer. It was a very warm afternoon and the outdoor seating was busy. We asked a German couple if we could join them at their table...(which is not uncommon in Germany). We had a couple of excellent local white wines and a flammkuchen. The best experience was having a conversation with the older German couple (a mix of our limited German and their limited English) at our table. What a fun afternoon!
