We have dined at Locale in East Dulwich a number of times but this was the first visit for us on a Saturday lunchtime. The restaurant and bar were both busy but... Weiterlesen We have dined at Locale in East Dulwich a number of times but this was the first visit for us on a Saturday lunchtime. The restaurant and bar were both busy but not overly so, with the hubbub of families with children. The food was good as always and the service was even better than I remembered. The menu is, by now, very familiar to us but extensive enough not to be uninspiring and there is a good selection of wines at reasonable prices. All-in-all, we had another successful dining experience and would certainly recommend Locale to others as an honest, decent local restaurant.

The view here is amazing. Such an additional addition. The restaurant was lively and our waiter made us feel very appreciated. I had the Celeriac soup, the tast... I had the Celeriac soup, the tasty followed by Beetroot Risotto, just as beautiful. The others had a normal lunch on Sunday and said it was great. The desserts looked fabulous and tasted so good. Can't really fail. We'll be back.

Weiterlesen We are frequent visitors and have always had a good experience before.However this time the service was awful-very slow to take our order-had two starters between 6 that took 3/4 hr.Then had been there an hour and a quarter before we got our main courses having complained politely twice.finally had to ask again to order desserts.Manager was very defensive and did not apologise.Such a shame as have always enjoyed it there.
