Went for breakfast, left with lovely and freshly made croissants, chaussons aux pommes and pains aux chocolat in our stomachs, three lunch sandwiches and candie... The two latter are local specialities. The cafe is a mixture...of old french patisserie and hipster coffee shop. Service was swift and friendly, they fixed up a tartine even if it wasn't on the menu. Strongly recommended.

Weiterlesen That was a nice day outside while I wasn't in the rain. they have registered with photo ID when they arrive there as the museum is on an active army basis. the museum talks about how the use of signals has evolved in the struggle over many years. to the current age. they can simply spend a day there if this type of cache they are interested. there is a kantine or naafi as it is right where they can get hot food or sandwiches. we did this halfway through our visit, then again meandering around the museum. it is not free to come as the big muses, but it will not break the bank either. it is beautifully decorated and contains some interactive features. dorset was very relevant in the second world war so that they can learn everything about it, along with the development of communication through various conflicts in our history.

Weiterlesen The most recent visit near salisbury offered us the opportunity to visit the royal signal museum. as an ex-signaller (Telemech/Rigger) it was something of a time travel for me, especially the sections on ptarmigan (7 sigs) and Brinton/Couger (N.I) my two companions enjoyed the experience that gave them a small taste of military life, as the situation is on the camp. For a small garden center it surely packs a lot to cover the wide range of indoor and outdoor facilities. a wide range of shares would highly recommend a visit....
