Das gut ausgestattete Restaurant mit seiner freundlichen Kellnerin führte mich und meinen Begleiter zum Platz und brachte uns sofort die Speisekarte. Unsere Getränke kamen schnell und wir bestellten direkt unsere Vorspeisen und den Hauptgang. Für mich gab es Kalbsscheiben (mit Pinienkernen, Kürbisdressing und Rapunzelsalat), das Highlight war die glänzende Schnitzel mit hausgemachten Kartoffeln und Röstperlsalat, Kürbiskernöl und Gurkensalat. Die Kalbsleber war fantastisch, besonders das zarte Fleisch ausgezeichnet. Die Bestellung war auch sehr gut durchdacht. Der Hauptgang war gut, das Brot war mir etwas zu fett und zu dick, das Fleisch war zart im Geschmack. Die dazu gereichte Zitrone und die Ketchup-Portion waren gut. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über sehr aufmerksam, das Essen war großartig und die Atmosphäre war ruhig. Sehr empfehlenswert für einen Abend voller österreichischer Küche!

Ich glaube, ich habe fast alle Restaurants in Neubrandenburg durch. Viele, vor allem in der Innenstadt, haben sehr überteuerte Preise und das Essen ist nicht das Wahre, dann fahre ich lieber ein paar Kilometer weiter zum Lindenberg. Mir gefällt vor allem diese herzliche und gastfreundliche Art. Leider haben die meisten Deutschen das nicht im Blut, das müssen wir noch lernen ; ich hatte in den Kommentaren gelesen, dass der Außenbereich mal ein wenig hergerichtet werden sollte, da gebe ich Recht. Es ändert zwar nichts daran, dass das Essen super ist, aber gerade im Sommer könnte die Terrasse vorne schöner gestaltet sein :

The seasonal asparagus and fresh fish courses were perfectly...prepared, and the wines on offer by the glass, though a limited choice, offered good pairing options. There are casual/bistro dishes available as well as the specials. Do ask for menu clarifications pike perch was translated as salmon, for example. The cafe is clearly a neighborhood place with regulars, as well as serving clientele of the A Trane club. It's located in the neighborhood west of the zoological park, a close walk from Savigny Platz S bahn station. You do need to book midweek, early in May, it was full and they had to turn people away. The main challenge seems to be what time to eat, if you want to finish in time to get to the A trane club (2 min slooow walk max. in time to collect your tickets? Having studied other diners comments we opted for 6.15. Next time we might go for 6.30 6.45. It depends if you like to linger over your apero and menu studies or prefer to move fast. I wouldn't recommend eating later than that if you want to enjoy your food at a relaxed pace and be totally at ease getting to the jazz club at 8.30. The web booking process which enables you to sign up for both the cafe and the music worked perfectly for us. (By the way, we had a fabulous evening over at the club too, but that's in another review.

Ich bin so froh, dass wir an der Bar gegessen haben, denn es war großartig,... mit ihm zu reden, und er hatte großartige Informationen darüber, wie das Leben in Ostberlin war, bevor die Mauer fiel. Ausgezeichnete Biere vom Fass. Ich hatte das Hauptgericht vom Typ Pasta und meine Verlobte hatte die letzten Artikel der Hirsche an der Tafel, die wir liebten. Tolle Nachbarschaft, leicht zu Fuß überall in Mitte. Preise sehr vernünftig. So froh, dass wir hier waren. Die Art von Ort, an dem Sie einfach abhängen und entspannen möchten. Übrigens, Peter, diese Bar in Prags gelber Pumpe ist immer noch da!
