The evening didn't start well though, as we felt insulted on arrival by the trying to be a comedian waiter mocking our surname. He continued to try to be funny (not only with us) through the evening and never hit the spot. It was quite embarrassing actually. Being on the quayside, and in winter, it might also be expected that there is some draught excluding system the chilly blasts as people came and went resulted in a number of diners around us keeping their coats on all evening. We've been before, but probably won't bother again.

I had checked out the restaurants and found SaQuaNa, a Michelin 2-star spot, was open for lunch. We stopped in to see if there was a table for two, but the hostess acted as if we were stupid tourists who didn't know what we were doing, and showed us a menu, with prices, which were high, but not exorbitant. So, we asked for a table. There were several amuse bouches before the actual meal was served. All were delicious, and they were able to accommodate my girlfriend's menu substitutions. After several courses, including the fish, meat, and salad course, we had to leave to rejoin our tour group, and skip the cheese and dessert courses. Nevertheless, everything was excellent. I wish we could go back to finish the meal. (Note that some say that SaQuaNa is Asian, but to me it's pure French, perhaps with minimal Asian influences).

Restaurant le plus fins de Nogaro et un trés beau cadre. Le solenca est le siége de nombreuses manifestations comme le sport mécanique sur le circuit Paul Armagnac ! GD a passé la main récemment et l 'ensemble a été repris par deux personnes, dont une trés bien connue a Nogaro. En espérant que le suite sera excellente ! On n 'en doute pas ...
