As I was getting ready to pull away the employee at the window said “if you wanted food you should have gotten here earlier! “ The rest of the employees behind the counter busted out doubled over laughing and pointing their fingers at me. They were the rudest people I have ever dealt with! Thankful KFC is open. Employee was a make with black hair and a black shirt.

I searched on Yelp and CAFE 21 Popped up for a great brunch, and it 's Pet Friendly. Upon arriving, the receptionist on the front went to our dog right away, when I saw that I instantly knew that we would have a great time at this restaurant : We got seated and wow, a random server already gave us a water bowl for my dog Prior ordering our food. Our server came, and he was a very nice guy, he talks a lot in a very entertaining way, and we love that. We ordered : *SHORT RIB OMELET Egg, Bell pepper, Caramelized onion, mozzarella cheese, and Sourdough.*MEDITERRANEAN FRIED RICE Egg, Pulled Lamb, Rice Scrambled, Feta, Walnut Dill Yogurt, Sumac Onion, and Cucumber Mint *LAMB KUFTA OMELET Egg, Bell pepper, Tomato, Mozzarella, Goat cheese, and Sourdough.*PEAS of MIND Espresso Butterfly Pea Lavender syrup, Almond, and Coconut Milk.All of our dishes were very good. At first when they delivered our food at our table, it looked small. We looked at each other since the portion looked small, BUT when we started eating we were surprised that we got so full, no complaints at all afterwards. And my Drink was beautiful, and the espresso woke me up good ; As usual, before my Family touches their food I would ask for a slice of their food so that I could taste it and review it, and among the 3 Dishes, the SHORT RIB OMELET stood out the most when it came to good Flavors, all of them were good, but the Short rib stood out the most to me.Everyone was Happy, even our Dog Bambam got some of my Lamb and the Short rib, and I 'm glad that we stayed a bit longer 'coz one of the Server showed some ENTERTAINMENT to all of the customers by SINGING when he was passing by at the table, and everyone in the restaurant had their cameras on and were all happy. Also, when we were paying our server instantly gave us a Military Discount, I asked how he knew and he said that when my husband opened his wallet, he saw his Retired Military I.D. , our server has a very good eye. I didn 't catch his name, but I will next time we dine in here again.We had a great day and meal here at CAFE 21, we will 100% be back to dine here again.

We signed up on their waiting list, and the line moved pretty quick, like within only 15 minutes of wait, we got seated. And we were so ready to order 'coz while we were waiting they had this big wall of the pictures of their different Soups. We ordered right away and our Hot pots were: *TAIWANESE SPICY HOT POT SOUP Veggies, Clams, Tempura, Sliced Beef, Seafood mushrooms, Cuttlefish rings, Fuzhou fish ball, Pork intestines, Pork blood, Bunashimei Mushroom, Fried Tofu Skin, Iced Tofu, Green Onion, and Cilantro.*BEEF HOT POT SOUP Veggies, Slice Beef, Corn, Seafood Mushroom, Tomato, Firm Tofu, Tempura, Meat ball (Pork), Fish cake, Fried Tofu Skin, Imitation crab stick, green onion, and cilantro.*THAI TOMATO HOT POT SOUP Veggies, Sliced pork, Cuttle fish ring, Cuttlefish ball, Fish Fillet, Clam, Mussels, Spam, Baby corn, Straw mushroom, Tomato shrimp, Coconut Milk, and Cilantro.Our Hot pot soups came out pretty quick. I was kinda scared of my SPICY TAWAINESE HOT POT SOUP, I was scared that it would hurt my tounge because of the Spiciness in it, coz here there is no option for their Taiwanese soup for Mild Spicy , but wow, I could tolerate the Spice and I liked it! My husband 's THAI TOMATO HOT POT SOUP was good, it has a light and sour taste, and we liked it, it was also good with Rice. My Son 's order came wrong, he ordered the BEEF HOT POT SOUP with no Spice, but it still had Spiciness. But they replaced it immediately and my Son finished the whole thing, even the Veggies on it. Their Hot pot look small, but once you dig into it, it is actually just the perfect size, we got so Full 'coz there was a lot of meats and seafood in the pot, then there were also noodles inside the hotpots , and we had Rice too.We were very Satisfied with the Hot Pot soup that we got. And I love the service here, they are all nice and they were always smiling when they approached our table. I also like that they are open untill 11 pm , it is very convenient for us whenever we are driving home from any Theme Park. The only thing we didn 't like was the Parking it 's sooooo hard to find a parking here.

I found out that there is one near me here in Clairemont San Diego , so I came to visit so that I could buy the TEDDY BEAR sourdough again. When I came I saw a couple on their wall display the Teddy Bear bread that i wanted but it was only for display and the Teddy Bears that were for sale were already all sold out. Since I was already inside, I decided to try their food here. I just ordered the following foods 'coz I still had to pick up my son to school:*SHORT RIB GRILLE with CHIPS *CLAM CHOWDER bowl with a dinner roll.*ASIAGO BREAD It all tasted good, it 's simple food that can fill you up good. They have lots of food selections, but I will try more when I 'm with my Family the next time we visit this place. I 'm happy with my small snacks here in Boudine.The person who assisted me on the counter was very nice and very patience waiting for me to choose what to eat, and the place is so clean.

They seem to be pushing their Café business. I asked the person behind the counter where all the pastries and cakes gone to. His reply was it's still the same, didn't change . Come to find out they just purchased the bakeryLost my business mainly because of the change in the recipe for the Italian bread which is very light and airy. Just Not the same
