Weiterlesen Popped in for a bite while in Brisbane for a couple of nights on business, dining at a table for one. Greeted seated by a very professional and cheerful staff member who was helpful and attentive throughout my visit. The pub itself is a cracker if the walls could speak as they say. I was keen to try the oysters but none available (delivered on a Wed apparently). So straight to the main course. Flat iron steak, mash brussel sprouts. Quantity tick, cooked medium rare tick, but the sprouts were from Chernobyl. Just a tad overcooked!!! Also, the red wine jus was heavy handed and I suspect had some other sauces aside from a red wine reduction to bulk it out. Tended to overpower the beef, which to be fair was good. So could do better in the kitchen and can't be more than 3 stars for this visit.

Came here on a whim when it was extremely busy and almost booked out and not only did they go above and beyond to get us in they also looked after a few of our stragglers Of course the beer was good

The person who was putting clean plates away was making so much noise on purpose so that all customers in that area stopped eating turned around and were wondering what was going on. The worker was mad about something. Our waitress was nice though and the pizzas tasted good. But overall it was an unpleasant dine in experience.

Ich schmeckte es nicht sehr viel und mein Mann ging nach einem Gericht mit Ei nicht sehr gut!Jetzt wollten wir den Platz geben, der noch vor einigen Jahren noch sehr gut war, wieder eine zweite Chance! Also für Weihnachten reservierte ich einen Tisch für ZWEI-Leute mit der Frage, ob es ein Gänsebraten für uns gibt, wie wir Gänse essen wollen! Als wir im Restaurant ankamen, gab es nur eine ganze Gänse für 4 Personen. Auf meinen Einwand, den ich ausdrücklich für ein Gänsemehl reserviert habe, wurde keine Lösung angeboten! Der Herr, der sich als Geschäftsführer auf Wunsch präsentierte, sagte, er könne uns keine halbe Gänse geben, da der Koch nur ganze Gänse freigibt und er nicht mit ihm kämpfen will! Was für ein Armutszeugnis, wenn der Koch den Service für die Gäste quält und das vom Geschäftsführer toleriert wird!Und das zu Weihnachten! Das ist nicht, wie man mit Gästen umgeht!

Besonders der schöne Biergarten ist das absolute HIT im Sommer!! Sie fühlen sich hier sehr wohl.
