One hour waiting between starter and desert, bought the bill before I was even asked if I or my partner wanted a desert. I said there were dauphinoise potatoes on my plate when there was actually a fondant. Food very average, could have cooked it yourself. I don't know why this place has so good reviews, the place was dead on a Saturday night and I now know why. It won't come back.

Will continue ordering from there, sometimes the order can be slightly late arriving but that I totally understand but will always let me know why and the drivers always are always nice and apologise if ever delayed, not enough to knock a star off, thank you again!

Restaurant 1840 is a real gem of place with food of the highest quality and an excellent menu. The service from the outset was outstanding. We were each delighted with our choice of dishes (lamb, belly pork, mushroom bourguignon and the goats cheese) all were superb. Thank you all for a fine dining experience all round. We will certainly be returning
