06.07.2024 - 14:15I had an excellent vegan meal at Husk. The server asked about dietary restrictions and told me the chef could make a veggie plate. The plate was excellent and included sides from the menu rancho gordo beans, grilled radicchio, a broccoli hybrid and sautéed shiitakes. On the menu, to my surprise, was grilled sourdough with vegan butter flavored with an African (I think) herb that I can’t recall. LOVED. Really great upscale option and would definitely go back.

31.10.2023 - 21:02I recently had dinner here for the first time and LOVED. A friend and I split the assorted pkhali, assorted pickles (included pepperoncini, pickles and some sort of pickled flowering stem , mushroom ojakhuri (includes fried potato wedges, onions and a red sauce was a bit reminiscent of patatas bravas , potato dumplings and order of the Georgian bread and mchadi (corn bread . We also had a bottle of orange wine. (Note: it was a lot of food and my leftovers heated up perfectly the next day. I couldn't believe that everything was vegan! Our server was wonderful and the chef came out to see how we liked the meal. The server shared that everything is homemade (including the bread and made to order. It was my first time having Georgia food and was truly such a great meal. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back. They also have a nice street seating set up for outdoor dining.

28.09.2023 - 10:27Randomly found this place while exploring the historic Castello. They have a large selection of prepared foods that can you get either eat there or take away. Prepared foods included green salads, grain salads, chickpeas, and cooked veggies. I had the chickpeas, a sautéed dark green (sort of tasted like a cross between spinach and maybe turnip greens), and green beans. Everything was very good and it was a nice change from pasta or pizza. The server was happy to point out what was vegan from the case.

17.08.2023 - 08:27This is a fantastic middle eastern restaurant with a clearly marked menu for vegetarian items. It’s easy to distinguish what’s vegan. They even have homemade vegan desserts. I’ve loved everything I’ve had here though my favorite dishes are the walnut stuffed peppers and the dandelion greens. I highly recommend going with at least three others and sharing everything. It’s worth traveling from Manhattan for.

17.08.2023 - 06:55This was one of those meals where I wish I had taken notes. I had read a blog post that someone had about randomly stopping in this restaurant, asking about vegan options and having their minds blown. My stopping here for lunch wasn't random but my mind was certainly blown. The server was so kind when I shared my vegan ways and conferred with the chef before telling me they could make me a special antipasti course and the famous Sardinian pasta dish fregola (note, i couldn't find vegan fregola anywhere else on my Sardinian journey . Dish after dish came out with vegan delights. The first was a simple shaved raw zucchini and carrot salad with soy sauce. Next were perhaps the highlights due to me not having had sauteed dark greens in over a week and the inventiveness of the dishes. Both are pictured in this listing one was the Sardinian shepherd's bread rolled up with dark local greens inside and the other was a thin noodle pasta that was rolled and fried and filled with vegetables (it's a crime that I can't remember exactly which vegetables . The rolls came with sauces and relishes. I could eat them every day. Next was a braised fennel dish that was cooked to perfection, and then the famous fregola (sooo good! . It was A LOT of food and I did my best to eat it all. This place is special, and quite affordable, especially when compared to coastal dining. At the end of the meal, the server shared that a vegan photographer from LA frequents the restaurant. Perhaps that's why they're always ready for us, I don't know, but I hope to go back. Anyone reading this review should make a meal here a priority. I don't know if they prefer you have reservations or not, but at lunchtime we walked right in and everything was perfect.
