We were refused entry yet two young girls giggled and walked past with a nod from the bouncer. I had another bouncer approach...me. I cannot hear well. He had asked us if we had a few drinks. My friend thought he said would you like a drink. Her answer was yes. My answer was no. Neither of us were drunk. I am a barmaid. I know I was not drunk. I have found this a quite common practice In Sydney. Ageism. I am 59. Female. And not “sexy”.... suck it up ship inn... you should not be allowed to still be operating. All we wanted was food. We spent our money elsewhere.

Weiterlesen I came here for a function and wasn't sure what to expect as it has been several years since I have visited Shelbourne It was a large function and the food was not bad, not amazing. The mini burgers were very dry but some of the other finger food was quite nice. The function room upstairs was quite well set up and had good customer service. It would be a good location for a function.

The grilled food was pretty average overall though I really enjoyed the barramundi fillet on the mixed platter. The veal schnitzel was a pleasant surprise light crumbed batter covering a thin (but not overly so) piece of meat. Potato salad was a fixture on almost all of the dishes but this was also unexpectedly tasty. Avoid the chips at all costs. They looked freshly cut but unfortunately, soggy and greasy. Service was efficient and it's a good place for groups as the space is large.

Weiterlesen That was a surprise dinner organized by my son and his wife. when we went to the venue, we were immediately so simple, great decor, inviting service that was continued during the meal. yes, the city prices are higher than the small ones, but always over them. each dish was so delicious and a nice choice of weeping to reasonable trips. we sat in an opposite side and it was intimate and reasonable quiet so that she could speak without screaming. think about eating .i want to be back so soon also can .well be done about event, cook and personal.
