Weiterlesen Meine Frau und ich kamen zum Mittagessen hierher und waren wirklich beeindruckt. Es ist ein kleines Restaurant und die Speisekarte ist einfach, aber das Essen war wirklich authentisch zubereitet und präsentiert und war frisch und lecker. Ein sehr familiengeführtes Restaurant, in dem wir uns fast wie zu Hause fühlten. Der Service war sehr freundlich und die Preise waren gut. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Weiterlesen Have been to The Old Swiss House several times and always enjoyed it. It has never been avant garde indeed the menu never changes but what they do has always been reliably well executed. This time the service was not up to usual...standards and we found dishes we have enjoyed previously rather salty. My wife even had several pieces of tough meat in her veal. The Swiss Chardonnay was good. We found ourselves in a cramped spot tight up against a glass cabinet full of antique claret jugs decanters which slightly overhung the table and had a very bright and intense light. The glass was in grave need of a wash and the silver a good polish!

Before lunch we took a speed boat trip on Lac Lusanne complete with champagne try drinking that while travelling at knots! On our return we...had a table right by the lakeside where we enjoyed an exceptional and relaxed lunch. The service was quietly efficient without rushing us in any way at all. We would have been happy to linger there all afternoon which would not have caused a problem for the staff. Overall a great time but would suggest booking is sensible.

We went for lunch on a Monday so it was quiet and calm, just the way we wanted for a nice family lunch out. And yet we happened to run into a friend who was dining there as well! We look forward to visiting again
