We dined on the patio which was well decorated with palm trees a pacific islander theme and contemporary themed Hawaiian music . The server was fair we waited a while for...our appetizers and longer for our mains (15 minutes in between) but the waitress was kind and courteous. I ordered the gentleman 's choice my companion the surf and turf. Both meals were well prepared and served hot. I would suggest trying the sweet potatoes fries..They were delicious. This place is perfect for a first date, girls night out, a business lunch/dinner or anniversary or birthday. In fact there were two birthdays that took place during my visit and Maori was kind enough to deliver each patron a birthday cake with sparklers and a happy birthday song. Now came the bill. It was roughly 300 francs for two people including to cocktails. Kinda pricey. Ok really pricey. The other negative was the 'gentleman choice ' steak is not $75 as advertised but actually $150! Apparently it 's per person even though I alone ordered the meal. If not for this unfortunate surprise I would have given 5 stars. Be sure to verify the TOTAL price of your meal with your server before ordering.

At one point my husband had to get up to tell the waitress...that we needed another round of drinks because she didn't follow up after the initial order. The salads arrived quickly and were good. But when the main course arrive, everyone was served except me. No explanation, no return visit to table, nothing. After we waited a while and no one came back to the table, my brother-in-law went to the (open) kitchen to ask. They seemed surprised. Luckily I just had a simple pasta dish and it arrived in about 5 minutes after questioning. The portions are large and average priced for a Swiss restaurant.

Weiterlesen So glad that we decided to eat here! After passing by a half dozen times we decided to stop and eat dinner outside at the loooooooonggggg table. We had one person with us who speaks a good amount of Swiss German so we could get...by, but Wil is one of those charming small towns where not everyone speaks English so try to learn some Swiss German before going (something we were led astray about). The five of us sat down and ordered wine. I had red which was lovely. I don't remember what it was but in general the wines we ordered were all fairly good to excellent (another point on which we were mislead... the wine is better than we expected). The waiter recommended it and he was right on. Eventually we ordered dinner. I really can't remember it, but please don't take that to mean that it was forgettable... it's more about this meal being at the beginning of a fairly long trip! I do remember enjoying the meal. In the middle of dinner the sprinkles turned to rain and they found room for us inside. It's very nice and contemporary in that stone wall way. My husband ordered dessert, which was walnut ice cream. Not a big fan of nut ice creams but this was so good that I ended up ordering my own.
