Cute little place tucked in the Newmarket train station complex. Good selection of Crepe cakes available. We got the vanilla and Matcha and Red Bean ones -delicious, fresh, soft and light. Matcha latte was also great. The place can get a bit packed and they don't have a lot of seating available but great place to stop by for dessert or morning/afternoon tea snack! Really good service too!

Amazing food, service and ambience. I have no idea why its taken me so long to discover Little India. Ordered Tandoori chicken, onion bhaji, chicken kadai, lamb jhalfrezee and Aaloo Baingin. Best indian food i’ve had in awhile and the owners really looked after us and made our dining experience extra special. Will be returning.

Great Malaysian and Singaporean food. One of the closest
to home. Also really good service from the owners and prices are reasonable for the portion size. Give the Mee Goreng, Prawn noodles, Laksa and Chicken rice a try. They are doing takeaways during Level 3. Great job!

Love their dumplings! Had the OG which is pork and extra chilli oil and siracha mayo. The pieces are pretty large so 6 pieces were more than enough for me. Service was super fast too!

I’m so blown away by this bakery. As soon as you enter you are met with the aroma of freshly baked bread. Got 2 kinds of baguettes fresh out of the oven. their crust was super crunchy and inside was soft. We also go the lemon loaf and chocolate loaf, both solid and moist, just to die for! In fact, we had already left but had to come back for a second round on the way home.

The last time I ate at Tanuki’s cave was a crazy 8 years ago. But the quality of food and service were just as good as I remember. While we waited for a table at the Yakitori bar in the basement, we had the Spicy Tuna roll and Tiger prawn roll to start. The rice was fragrant, pillowy and well seasoned. Generous portion sizes of tuna and prawns for what you pay. Next we ordered ourselves the Tender chicken thigh skewers, Scotch fillet steak with butter and sou sauce, OMG this was my favourite. the steak was so tender and oozing with that butter steak juice goodness. We also had the Shitake mushrooms stuffed with chicken mince, they came in great big crumbed balls. In my opinion the chicken mince was on the dry side but flavour was there. After 8 years, Tanuki’s cave still satisfies.

I have to admit I came here for one thing only and thats to try their Som Tum Platter (thai papaya salad). If you have never tried Som Tum, you are seriously missing out. You can get just the salad on its own but the platter just comes with supplementary items that go so well with the salad. And by the way, if you like the heat, go for medium level spicy! Everything tasted so fresh. The platter is designed to share but what the heck get one just for yourself. It cost $25 and you can have it over 2 meals and trust me you won’t want to share. It is that good! This is definitely my new favourite comfort food, full of umami and so satisfying! Next time
I will be back to try out their other dishes which I’m sure will be just as delicious! 5 stars!
