The fake bossanova versions of The Police, Stones and Bob Marley playing throughout our meal were a hint of cultural disconnection, but it’s the food that seals the (bad) deal. Lunch started with home made chips which were tasty; then things went downhill. The Elote (corn) soup had minimal corn flavor overwhelmed by a seeming salty chicken stock base. The shrimp/avocado appetizer was drenched in a sickly sweet sauce drowning any shrimp flavor. The Tuna entree was ordered medium rare; it came out partially uncooked, wrapped in underdone bacon and covered with a gloopy lake of sauce; it was inedible. Accompanying vegetables were undercooked and the rice was amazingly bland. The quail entree which sounded so good had little flavor and was accompanied by the same rice and vegetables. We had the pleasure of paying 990 pesos plus tip for this “meal”; the waiter was apologetic, but he’s not the owner or cook and it wasn’t his fault.

After a week travelling in Mexico the quality of food and service surpassed previous offerings, the tuna kebab was lightly cooked to perfection, complemented by a good chilled sauvignon We can only echo the other reviewers in awarding a 5 star rating

However, twice when we stopped here they were out of pizza dough which really was a bummer since they don't have much on the menu. John was a very funny, attentive waiter.
