Restaurant bewerten Was Rodolfo Martini an Restaurant Ried mag:

So the chief owner of the Ried restaurant greeted us when we arrived there for lunch, and he was not wrong. this pretty little chalet restaurant is on a climb on the torrent to the Sunnegga hiking trail (which also serves as a narrow unused road,...with hiking and mountainbikern the most common traffic in summer.) the view is unbelievable from each of the tables on the terrace, and from our eckish we could look forward and see the matthorn, other climaxes of the mountain and all around. the winter is the very lively season of the restaurant, we collect, so it is a real certificate for the passion of the cook for the place and for what he serves there that he even keeps it open in summer when there are far less walking past than skiers in winter. so the menu is realistic for this less busy season, but everything is carefully selected and the cook was very courteous, ready to make each of the menu points suitable for both of us who were vegetarian and what we had was delicious! we tried the fondue, despite reading an unfavorable winter review, and as the attached picture shows, it was so good that we had nothing left in the pot. the fondue boasted on its smooth, creamy cheese flavor, slightly flavored with garlic; its consistency was perfect for the brot that came with it, perfectly cast cubes at its edges, with much softer mitte to suck the cheese. as far as desserts are concerned, we have tried out the large plates of cakes, carrots and lemons. they could look “rustic” and simply, but they were both very good, with a carefully balanced taste. (I really loved the lemon cake, with its light lemon glitter top and punctual fresh lemon flavor the Rhabarb pee was also patterned and extremely tasty, filled with a good baked crust with a lot and much rhabarb. this is not only a place where you can watch for a drink or an ice in the middle of a hike to Zermatt/Sunnegga. the good food and the incredible lookout make this restaurant a “destination” that is worth visiting all on their own faust. I think many people would enjoy walking from ceremonious to ried restaurant, reasonable exercise along with the reward of a complete and cozy lunch, to what we thought were fair prices for high quality food.
Very beautiful chalet at the end of the piste. delicious home coffee but eat no fondue. to liquid with roasted brot. the owner admitted that something was wrong with the fondue, but not even a coffee offered. we will not return.
This used to be one of the most authentic quality places in Zermatt. The original owners retired last year and it has now reopened for business. We didn't eat here yet, but our first (and impression is that the finer touches which made this...place perfect, are now totally missing. No eye for detail. And not every place should be turned into a lounge/après-ski bar. Still some work to do!
