Costa Next - Wigan

Staff seem harassed. Went with 1 year old to find wooden child seat dirty and worn condition. Asked for anti bac wipe but was only offered a j cloth being used to wipe down other seats etc. Also asked why child seats not renewed but told no money in budget! It is 2023 and no wonder infections are on the rise. Come on Costa, get a serious grip

When this place opened, it was a really pleasant place , with nice coffee Now it has gone really dirty , poor quality coffee, staff who don't know how to make s decent coffee, lazy and very rude . Unfortunately, after many years of service there, at both the drive thru and the one at the side of next, I will never return . High price for dish water coffee, rubbish sandwiches and poor service from some of the staff ,very poor hygiene, not good management and staff do not know how to make coffee. Poor batista skills. Shameful . Now I stick to cafe nero or kawas coffee , in the town centre , much better service and quality of coffee. 100% arabica beans and clean coffee machine , clean tables , very friend staff .

This Costa has to be one of the most dirty, unhappy establishments i have been in. the premises are in need of a deep clean, the toilets must NEVER be cleaned with human waste on the toilet and floor, yuck!!! The staff are rude and miserable but not surprising due the rude management, you had better not complain about you food or lack of what you have paid for. Costa really need to get there act together.

Had many visits to both Costa on the Robin park in wigan , plus others chains all over the country . Can honestly say , it's the worst coffee chain house in England , milk is scorching, small coffee inside , your just paying for piping hot milk , in cardboard cup , because never any mugs . They are always understaffed, the coffee machine is always very filthy , the air con is too high , even in winter , freezing in there. The price of dishwater coffee is ridiculous, for the lowest standard of coffee . It's discusting. An absolute rip off . Some of the staff are lovely but always stressed and seem unhappy . No proper training is clearly given ,to complete a perfect coffee . The milk is supposed to be heated between 60-65degrees but ALL costa staff will heat to 90 degrees . Very incompetent training by managers . The toilets are always very dirty, with over flowing bins , no regular checks marked off on the paper, inside the toilets . The glass washer is always broken in many of the Costa venues , with dirty smears on the glasses . They are always understaffed and management do the bare minimum to support their employees. Most of the employees working in there are not bad people , they just haven't been trained properly but some of the staff , are lazy , can't even keep the tables clean , always stood talking , touching face and hair . Costa needs boycotting. Shame on you as a company

I have personally and with my family used this Costa many times before amd have not been disappointed, but today absolutely shocking service and attitude from the staff. Saturday busy but not full. Lots going on and a reasonably constant drive through as you would expect. I took the family inside for a quick Frappe whilst I had a latte. Literally 3 drinks and no food. Nothing complicated. Not much could go wrong so I thought. 1 x Frappe delivered after 2 3 minutes. Latte 2 3 minutes later. Probably 6 7 team members in the drinks prep area making drive through orders and another 10 minutes for my 2nd Frappe whilst other internal customers received Frappe before we did. 2nd Frappe delivered completely wrong. Challenged the barista who took the order and he became extremely argumentative. He then walked around the counter to continue arguing that the service was OK from his perspective. Training issues in this branch at present for sure and an attitude like that has no place in a customer service environment. Take note Costa and sort yourselves out. This is mot the experience you should be giving to your customers. 1 star at best. It really shouldn't be that hard to make drinks.
