Restaurant bewertenKudos to the chef and staff! My husband and I have lived in the area for 10 years since retiring to the Adirondacks, and we often dine out. Luckily, we recently attended a company holiday party at Merrill Magee's, marking our first visit. Wow! We had no idea what we were missing! The food options, whether in the tavern or dining room, are unparalleled in the area. As each meal was served, both my husband and I wished we could try them all! From lobster risotto and a surf and turf burger to elk, duck, and shepherd's pie, everything was enticing. We're already planning to return this week. The staff informed us about their daily specials, and when we learned about trivia night on Thursdays from 7-8, we knew we had found a new regular spot. We can’t wait to challenge ourselves while sampling the menu. You can find the menu online, and it’s definitely worth a visit! Oh, and I haven't even mentioned the interior of this place—it's tastefully and beautifully designed. We will definitely be returning to Merrill Magee's with friends and family often!
My husband and I have had the pleasure of dining at Merrill Magee twice recently, and both experiences were outstanding! The stunning dining room, warmed by a cozy fireplace, creates a perfect atmosphere. The servers, including Marlena during our first visit and Bre last night, were attentive, cheerful, and welcoming. The beautifully presented dishes of delicious food, combined with very reasonable prices, make this place highly recommendable. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! Last night, we savored some incredibly satisfying German cuisine. Out of the four German restaurants we’ve tried, I would say this is the best! I just wish they would make these meals a regular part of their menu. The spaetzle was delightful, and the jaeger schnitzel was cooked to perfection with wonderfully crispy edges!
Don’t let outdated reviews or initial poor experiences mislead you. This restaurant is truly exceptional. From the freshly baked bread to the wonderful specials (I had the foie gras and duck), the beautifully sourced produce, and some of the finest fresh mozzarella I’ve ever tasted—all complemented by a thoughtfully curated wine list that is fantastic—I could rave about this place for hours. I only wish it were closer to home. You really can’t go wrong here, especially with the friendly and impeccable service! Highly recommend!
What a gem! This guest house is ideal for a tranquil and intimate getaway. We came to town seeking peace, and this place is just perfect for that. The room is lovely.
This review is focused solely on the restaurant, not the accommodations. When it comes to decor, this restaurant is unmatched in the Warrensburg and Lake George area. The food is exceptional as well.
