The George Inn - Warminster

Beautiful old pub with beautifully decorated rooms. friendly staff and nice eating

We have booked 2 tables for 5 of us and were placed at the opposite ends of the room. it took an hour to get our meal and the veg was cold. my friend on the other table could not eat her fish as he was dark brown and dry, so he was sent back and her meal took longer and it was gone 9pm could not wait her until more cooked, so easy had chips. we were very disappointed as this was our first time so long.

We arrived were shown to our table and drinks were ordered and arrived . Our order was taken. We then waited forty five minutes when a member of staff came over and asked if we were waiting for the bill. We were so disgusted we walked out.

Despite all tables being pre booked, they were woefully understaffed resulting in diabolical service and an interminable wait for mediocre food from a limited menu. An entirely unacceptable performance from the George made for a really disappointing half term treat.

A very pleasant and much enjoyed evening made everything better by the excellent customer service, friendly and responsive coworkers who are brilliant around our table of 4. the employees, ash, lukewarm and lukewarm the general manager were professional and attentive throughout. great teamwork.
