Chapmans - Walnut

Where do I begin? I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. The gentleman at the entrance was very friendly, and our waitress was also delightful. Unfortunately, the food was quite disappointing. The crab legs were overcooked, and we struggled to get any meat from them. There was a dark liquid at the buffet with mysterious ingredients floating inside. I stirred it up and found pieces of steak, which had some grill marks, so perhaps they were decent before taking a dip in the hot liquid? I decided to take a bite and regretted it immediately. I sampled a little bit of everything at the buffet; some items were unidentifiable—possibly gizzards or liver—but they were all just greasy. None of it was enjoyable, though I did manage to eat one entire chicken strip. The baked potato was good, at least. Sadly, even the corn on the cob was overcooked. Aside from the two friendly staff members we interacted with, the salad bar was the highlight of our visit. We ended up spending $100 just for what felt like a small bowl of salad.

Our waitress was fantastic—she was really busy but attentive to our drink refills and needs. I didn’t mention our food issues to her since she was swamped, and I understand how challenging that can be from my own experience in the industry. My mom and I took our leftovers home, and I was able to spruce them up the next day, giving us two meals for the price of one, which we appreciated. If we decide to return, we might give the buffet a try.

It was not up to what is shown on website had to order desserts separately on dessert bar.not sure I would ever go back.waitress did her job well.

Terrible customer service. Throwing food, really? If you're busy, hire more staff, but don't provide terrible service to customers that provide you the means to pay your bills. No ma'am. Highly unprofessional!
