Restaurant bewertenI went twice during 1 week to this restaurant. First with my family of 5. The service was very good and the food was delicious. My husband and I had the veal parmigiana and the rest of our family had pizza which they really enjoyed. The house Italian white wine was quite nice as well. We had a mixed green salad prior to our entree as well as bread with Ferraro's special oil and vinegar to dip it in. Plenty of food, good value for the money. Fast service. Maybe a little too fast.My husband and I went a few days later and ordered the Fuscilli al Pollo and the Doctor's Special. It was a much busier day and the service was super fast. No time to enjoy our appetizer or a glass of wine. The server hovered over our table the entire time. The food was again very good but we felt really rushed and would have enjoyed a more leisurely dinner. We were seated, served and given our bill under 25 minutes.
This is a Forest Hill standard. The food is wonderful the patrons horrible. I feel for wait staff. I have been to many pizza place around the world. Never have I heard more whining from customers. I ask after of a particularly unpleasent women if is had so many complaints about the place why she came. I was shocked when see told me " oh no The I love this place"
Great Italian food, very fresh Tomato sauce and an excellent family restaurant on Eglinton Avenue West.
I came here with a friend for dinner on a Friday evening. The restaurant is bigger than it appears to be from outside and inside the decor is very rustic and simple. Many Italian flags, pictures and maps on the walls. There are daily specials listed on the board near the pizza oven and the menu has many options. You are provided complimentary bread and olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping. I ordered the veal parmigiana and chose vegetables as a side. The veal was very large - filled the whole plate. A small side dish came with steamed broccoli and zucchini. I was very satisifed with my meal. My friend ordered the Spaghettini al Pescatore - pasta with an assortment of fish. It came in a bowl filled with pasta, mussels, scallops, squid and shrimp. My friend found the sauce very water - there was lots of liquid at the bottom of the bowl. However she found it very tasty - just wished the sauce was a bit thicker. When we finished our meal we were given each a complimentary S cookie - which I think is a wonderful ending. Overall - I really liked the place. You can tell it's very popular with the locals. I'd like to come back and try a pasta dish or a pizza.
