They are reluctant to accept any mode of payment other than cash for obvious reasons. Any such restaurant is best avoided as anyway there are many better options around. De Shell is a well situated hell scape. We went there for breakfast one fateful Sunday morning. There were telltale signs of a booze fuelled party the night before. A disgruntled waiter approached up while putting on his brown banyan. I should’ve taken that cue and raced out of there, but there was no other joint for miles. The idlis were pale, flaccid and smelled like bat’s armpits. The chutney warm, frothy and bubbling from fermentation. The sambar made in the tummies of the party goers the night before. The vadas were like aerated droppings, preserved in grease. De Hell!
