Restaurant bewertenHad the cod and chips, friend had the haddock. Both very good. Coleslaw nice and tangy, and you can really taste the horseradish. Fast friendly service, and reasonably priced.
We decided to try Thorold's Fish & Chips last night. Walked in, and ran into an instant dilemma ... the menu made me want everything! However, seeing that it is a fish & chips place, I thought it would be best for me to start there.I chose the haddock. It was huge! The best I've had! The chips were good as well, and they are not shy with them either. I had a very large piece of haddock on a mountain of tasty fries. The people behind the counter were friendly and helpful. They explained parts of the menu and answered questions with a smile. This place offered everything I've dreamed about in a fish and chips restaurant. We were both impressed, and will both be back to sample more from the great variety of dishes.
Nice little place with some tables for four, clean but not fancy. Owner is a lovely jolly fellow who makes friends easy. He a pleasant Armenian man you will like.We had 1 pc haddock and chips $9.49 and it was all cooked really nice. Shwarma is excellent. We ate in today and it was HOT, NO A/C Working up there in area this week so I will go back for lunch.
Going into Thorold for fish and chips is a long drive and well worth it.We have ordered 2 family pack and 2 extra fish to get best price. My family and I order over phone and ready in 15 minutes. They have other foods as well hope to try new dinners one time.
Thought we would give a try to a mom & pop shop a try. Truly disappointed. There was a hair in my $14 1 piece fish dinner meal. The grease needs to be changed first and foremost. The chicken fingers were weirdly spicey. One fish meal wasn't even cooked. All said and done we have left with upset stomachs and grease gut rot
