Shell Oyster - Tallahassee

This place is a hidden gem in Tallahassee. The food is amazing! I visit lunch and I'll be in the door as soon as they open when the place is small and fill it out quickly! Once you've had their naked oysters, you'll see why. As you enter, waiters take your orders and until the time you sit, you have served drinks and apps. This place is moving fast. But you don't feel rushed. Everybody's super friendly. Don't come in expected fine food. Your food is served in reusable baskets, with packed cutlery and paper cups. But who cares if you are served fresh, hot seafood and great pages! The only drawback is that they are only CASH ONLY, which can be a little unpleasant for those of us who rarely carry money. Apart from that, I have no complaints. Love this place!

Can't believe I've lived in Tallahassee my entire 46 years of life and today was my first time visiting! Great food, great staff, great location, and i love the BYOB! Oysters were the best!

Always a great quick bite for me since I work in Railroad Village at VEZ Productions. I love seafood and everything my order is made fresh and the hospitality is superb! Delighted to recommend their food to anyone who visits Tallahassee!

You don’t want to go here. Like seriously. I’m going to eat all of the fried shrimp so you won’t be tempted to try them. I am pretty sure they put crack or ecstasy or something in their shrimp breading, as they are quite addicting. Since I don’t want you to become an addict yourself, I am doing you the favor of steering you away from this house of culinary vice. I suppose I should be left to my fate, indulging myself in the mountain of shrimp that awaits me. Seriously, don’t go here so I can eat them all myself. They’re too delicious to resist.
