Restaurant bewertenI highly recommend 9 Pad Thai restaurant. The attention to detail with the taste of their food including noodles and stir fry dishes is far superior than other Thai restaurants in Springfield. This is what Thai food should taste like; flavorful and complex. Mince meat stir-fry with basil is delicious and so are the yums (salad with various protein(meat of your choice . Compared to another Thai restaurant near the Springfield Post Office, which I think is extremely over-hyped, 9 Pad Thai is by far much better all around. Lastly, for those who has negative experience with to-go orders, in my personal opinion, EAT AT THE RESTAURANT. To go containers, for some reason, alter the consistency of Thai food. The only dish that I found to be the same regardless of how it is handled is the curry. Their green curry is delicious.
I picked up two lunch specials on my way from Springfield to DC earlier today and thoroughly enjoyed my meal from 9 Pad Thai. I ordered the regular Pad Thai with chicken (and, apparently, pork) as well as the Panang Curry with chicken and rice. Both came with spring rolls and had enough in the portion to leave leftovers of each plate. I ordered online which was an easy process and the order was ready for pickup within 15 minutes. The Pad Thai was among the best Pad Thai's I've had in the DMV/DC area; the sauce was tangy and sweet, the onions were perfectly cooked, and there were enough onions/veggies to provide an excellent contrast to the egg, pork, and chicken. I didn't know that the dish would include barbecue pork so if you don't eat pork, make sure to specify that this should be omitted. This dish was easily a 5/5 and a definite highlight of the meal. The Panang Curry was not as good as the Pad Thai and I'd rate it a 4/5. If I had ordered more than the mild spice level, I think the dish would have had a better overall flavor profile. My main criticism was just that the flavor wasn't very strong. Also, there were two bell peppers for garnish when I believe there should have been more than that. Everything was cooked well though and there was quite a lot of chicken. I definitely plan to order from here again next time I'm in the area!
Wanted to check out a new thai place, and I would say this place was great. The menu has alot to offer with a nice mix of different flavors. I saw lots of people had recommended the fried watercress salad, and it does not disappoint. The broth that goes with the salad is spicy, tangy and so flavorful. Both noodle dishes were great, with lots of flavor. The calamari was a huge disappointment. It tasted just like something you would get out of the freezer aisle from the store, and with the calamari inside shriveled up. To top the meal off, the Thai iced tea was delicious and refreshing and paired great. We will definitely be ordering from here again.
Excellent food and value. Was less than $60 for three people and even had leftovers to take home. Our favorites are the beef salad and fried tofu as a starter. Sometimes we will add the papaya salad. Main course included chicken pad Thai, chicken fried rice, and my favorite chicken Gaeng Par?️?️?️. Gaeng Par is under the curry menu and only served for dinner.
Virginia is blessed with so many great Thai restaurants and 9Pad Thai is among them. This restaurant is located in a small plaza with ample parking. The decor is simple and clean. We have visited 9 Pad Thai several times in a 3 week period. What can I say? It's that good! We've ordered a variety of dishes but began to really crave their watercress salad, som tum, hoi jaw, and floating market soup. Our taste buds are the happiest with spicy, sour, salty and savory flavors (not sweet) so our taste buds are pretty happy at 9 Pad Thai. Great food. Great service.
