Local fare with local beers (Anosteke flemish for till next time) the ideal combination after a good hike in the area. The two tontons one on the kitchen the other serving switch each week. We will be back. Anosteke.
Well another fab lunch the food is entirely home made, organic and delicious. The simplicity of everything is a delight especially when sometimes here in France food can be over complicated. We had the most fabulous prawn croquettes and a very large home made burger just as good as the steak we usually have. A special mention has to go to both of the guys who own it and have started something very special. Also I wholeheartedly recommend the organic white wine. L'addition is always far less than we expect it to be!
We had excellent simple meal there last week.We had chicken fricasseur which was delicious,washed down with good value Bordeaux. Very cheap but good wine Charming young host .Definitely highly recommend
We were at loose ends after visiting the Blockhaus d 'Eperleques and passed their sign when coming through Serques. We went in there and didn 't regret it. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the food was great. We can only recommend going there if you are in the vicinity. Estaminets are a great way to get to know Le Nord , and this is one you shouldn 't miss.
