Restaurant bewertenFound this restaurant on a website with food ideas for "La capitale Nationale" (Quebec City). This may have been the best BBQ dining experience that my wife and I ever had. Everything from the rustic looking shack to the mismatched chairs to the money taped to the ceiling gives this place an out of the ordinary vibe. The food was fantastic, I had the big big rib (a single beef rib that was like having a roast on my plate) and my wife tried the platter that had 3 of their famous meats (the brisket, homemade sausage and the pork ribs). As sides we had the burbon shots with bacon in them and "les oreilles de chrisse". The last side we ordered was the sweet potato with bacon and mascarpone cheese. This last side prompted my wife to say that is she ever gets into heaven she expects that sweet potato dish to be waiting for her there. All in all a fun and delicious dining experience. (we suggest reservations as this place is packed, always... no surprise it is that good)
I traveled from Quebec City which is about a $15 taxi fare, arrived at 8pm to be told the ribs had already sold out, which was very disappointing. Had the Brisket which was good. But the question is, once you have had BBQ in Texas is BBQ Quebec style a fair comparison? If you take your BBQ seriously you will possibly be disappointed but for the casual BBQ diner then you will enjoy. Note, the meals are on the more expensive side of the price value scale.
Went to Biceps with a group of friend's, over all it was good, it's look like a American BBQ joint but it's not, they get a kind of that atmosphere but the soul of bbq is not there, it's kind of a mix between a bar and a restaurant, there a lot of server and it's getting niosy real fast. The service was a bit long due to a few big group of custommers. The meal was good and tasty we try a few ones, you dont get again the taste of and old BBQ joint the smoky was not there . It's good and taste like un BBQ Québecois. Mist the soul of a real BBQ joint. Enjoy
Ribs melt in your mouth, great smokey flavour, the feeling inside is exactly what it looks like in the pictures - warm, friendly, delicious! My only feedback would be on the price vs portion - the burnt ends for $8 came on plate with 5 bite-size pieces...they were amazing, but I really had to savour them at almost $2 per bite. Despite this it's def worth checking out! A great BBQ shack where you least expect it.
Gentlemen beware, ladies, be patient. I have been BBQ ing for years. I think I'm pretty good at it too.... until now. Finally i have found one of those BBQ / smoker restaurants i see on TV all the time. Generally in the southern USA. The service is exceptional. Our waiter will be receiving a large tip. And well deserved. Friendly, knowledgable and all round great. The food. I had the st-louis ribs. Awesome!!! You can taste the smoke. They are tender, juicy and awesome. My wife had the brisquet. So tender. Overall great. You should reserve though. Its a small restaurant but has an amazing ambience. So ladies, if you think your hubby can BBQ and you love his food, you may not want to come here. He might end up disappointing you after you eat the food here!
