Restaurant bewertenLovely little hidden restaurant with charm. Since they work with season bases ingredients, they can recommend the best dish. We absolutely loved the turnip couscous and the sliced skirt steak!
We were told of Chi Va Piano last year and dined here a number of times. We were back again this year and it was every bit as good, brilliant in fact. It is a bit different but the food is out of this world. Some of the other reviews are confusing as they suggest it is a vegan restaurant. Whilst they do serve vegan dishes (which are all excellent) they also have a very good selection of meat dishes and in fact I would go as far as to say it is the best meat I 've eaten in Italy. I regularly had the Scottona beef fillet and it was unbelievably tender, 'juicy ' and full of flavour brilliant! As a family of four we always opted for a selection of starters which we shared although we often found ourselves fighting over the dishes as they were all so good. Every plate went back to the kitchen spotless. The team at Chi Va Piano are so kind, warm and friendly. It was about a 30 min drive for us to get there but absolutely worth it we went a number of times during our stay. An absolute must if you find yourself anywhere near Putignano.
Despite visiting with an Italian speaker, the menu in this restaurant remained a bit of a mystery but the accent was clearly on slow food and what we had was very enjoyable. It was disappointing that my first three choices from the menu were off so I ended up having a steak which, in a restaurant which identified itself as super vegan ' was slightly surprising! However, if you accept the fact that, eating early at 8pm, the restaurant was entirely devoid of other customers and, like so many establishments in this area, the decoration was slightly brash, you can have a very good meal. I would certainly recommend establishing exactly what is in those pots adjacent to the open fire since it seems to me that the food cooked in this traditional way represent the very heart of this restaurant.
Great experience, friendly and welcoming staff, Apulian cuisine revisited with goto and fantasy. We went two nights below to try out all the proposals. absolutely to recommend
I value my experience having ordered only vegetarian dishes (no matter who is interested in meat.) despite apparently the menu has several appetizers and first not based on meat, I suggest to specify if you are vegetarians/vegans because the menu written on the board in the room does not report all the ingredients present in the dish ( expect surprises.) apart from some disregard of the staff, overall the dishes were very good and abundant.
