Restaurant bewertenOnly been for drinks but what a great place right on the water with chilled deck chairs. seems to be a locals kind of place. cover yourself in bugspray we were eaten alive
It was a busy night, so we waited some time to get our meal ordered, which is in a line. Food took about 40 min to arrive, but then was great! The setting lovely. The wine decent for the price. Probably would not recommend, but maybe on a slow night.
We had lunch at the yacht club during our week in July stay at port douglas. It was a beautiful quiet open air setting. Kids could run around on the grass while we kept an eye on them. Food was good and service was friendly.
We went here for dinner on a Tuesday night, and had the fish & chips, pork ribs & bucket of prawns, followed by chocolate brownie & mango cheesecake. Food was tasty and good value, with efficient service. It was lovely to be down by the water, just remember to take insect repellent. They have a pool table, so you can have a game or 2 after dinner. Overall, a relaxed place for a meal.
We had a leisurely sail (light winds) on Ka Pai. The sunset was beautiful and Alf and Paul who took us out were good company Thank you. The yacht club have bought the catering in house and you can see a vast improvement in the food. I had the fish of the day - the fish was fresh and beautifully cooked, my husband had the fish and chips, rating the chips as some of the best he has had. The club has a relaxed atmosphere and is well worth the short walk from town.If you go out on Wednesday free sailing remember you are not guaranteed a place on a boat. If you are lucky to get on for a sail, the payback is to have dinner / Drinks at the club with the skipper of your boat. A few people went sailing and skipped out on the dinner their loss; it is a good night out.'
