Sassi Cucina e Bar - Port Douglas

This place was fabulous. We arrived without a booking and Renato found us a lovely table outside where we could watch the sunset even though it was booked out. Renato was fabulous in his service impeccable! The food was faultless. The basil gelato a must and the Angus beef perfect!

My partner said his main dish, a mixture of different seafood 'was to die for '. The service was fantastic, the wine waiter very knowledgeable and our waiter very friendly and accommodating. (I should have chosen a dry biscuit as I wasn 't feeling well! Looking forward to Risotto the next time we go.

My favourite spot in PD. Brilliant staff matched with authentic Italian fare makes for a winning combination. The tuna entree was so fresh and full of flavour. Salmon carpaccio delicate and tasty. Highlight was the perfectly cooked linguine with abundant fresh seafood. Loved the pinot grigio. The bolognaise and the staff were a hit with our kids too!!!
