Restaurant bewertenVery good service, eating was excellent, my man had the malz whisky he likes. overall very good
We have been here a number of times with enjoyable company, good food and service. However this visit started off poorly with the waiterbeing rather condescending about sushi when I have been eating sushi 50 years before he was born {I'm from Hawaii where they have eaten sushi for over a hundred years, I have eaten sushi at Nobu's in New York when they first opened in the 1990's, Morimoto's when it first opened in Philadelphia in 2001 and Chef Morimoto spending 15 minutes discussing baseball and food with my family and again at Matsuhisa in Los Angeles again discussing food], so I was surprised and taken aback, particularly since we were in a happy and celebratory mood with this waiter being snobbish, condescending and telling us what to do and how we should eat sushi . I'm full blooded Japanese for God's sake. I welcome the chance to learn new things and like to discuss food, but not with a condescending poorly informed individual. Unfortunately the fish was not fresh, but rather dull colored. Surprising for a restaurant of this quality .....flat tasting....definitely not fresh [hamachi/salmon/tuna]. Umami is a better choice with better food and much friendlier staff and chefs and better ambience.
I rarely give five stars, so this means this place was amazing. They had a very unique menu and atmosphere. Small little 0lace to get your sushi fix. The flavor was phenomenal and fresh. The presentation was also very nice, which is nice to see. Whenever we go to Omaha, this will be on our menu.
I do t know where to start. Dave was a great host and chef. I wanted more of everything we had to eat it was an amazing time.
Absolutely incredible experience! I’d highly recommend sitting at the sushi bar if you can. Watching each dish being prepared is an experience itself. You can’t go wrong ordering anything on the menu, or if you’re feeling adventurous, let the chef decide!
