Rosewood Kitchen - Oceanside

I ordered the Garlic Noodles with Chicken Katsu. The dish was flavorful but overall it was just an okay dish. The garlic edamame and the brussel sprout appetizers were delicious. The live music was very intense for a dinner setting. I can't speak for others, but I would imagine that Flamenco music fused with Heavy Metal is a bit much in a dinner setting. The customer service was good.

This place absolutely knows what they are doing with brussel sprouts, they are so good (so good we didn't get a picture)! We also had the garlic noodles with katsu, which I hoped would just never end. The live music made it a perfect place to have a date night. There's a good variety of beer on tap, and the sangria (I had red) was light and refreshing. We highly recommend stopping in when you're in the neighborhood.

Juicy Lucy burger was very good. Not an obnoxiously large burger, a good size and cooked to perfection. Friendly service, good music, nice lighting and unique decor. GIVE THIS PLACE A

We had been wanting to try this place since moving to Oceanside a year ago and finally went last week but it was a letdown. We ordered 2 appetizers, the carpaccio and the croquettas I can't speak to the carpaccio but the croquettas lacked any kind of flavor and just tasted like dough balls. The service was extremely slow too and there were only 5 or so tables occupied. It was about 25 minutes to get drinks and nearly double that for the 2 apps.

I have no idea if they had a different cook or what in the world happened, but I went about a month ago and the food was good, portions were nice. The service did take over an hour but the good food made it worth the while.On this second visit, I was beyond disappointed. I won’t return. The wait time was 1hr and 30 mins for our food. Ordered the same thing as last time but the portion was not even half of what it was the first time. Our appetizer took 40 mins and was burnt. This staff said they were serving 3 restaurants from one kitchen so that’s why they took forever. The waitress never checked up on us or offered us more drinks.Overall, I was super bummed with the food quality, portion and service time. The first visit I ordered the bacon carbonara. You can see in the photo that it was big and beautiful. The photo with the single plate was my second visit. They looked like two completely different dishes.I’m kinda bummed this second visit was such a bad experience because I really liked the food the last time. I wouldn’t give them another chance.
