George's - Oak Park

First of all, the service was excellent. George was very kind and welcoming. The navy bean soup was the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely return!

This restaurant is a great choice for breakfast, offering a wide variety of options for those who struggle to choose a meal. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs. The gravy was thick, but I found it a bit bland, especially considering the amount of sausage in it. I've always known this dish to be savory, so I wasn't a fan of the slightly sweet biscuits. However, that's just a matter of personal preference, so you might feel differently. My partner tried a completely different dish and loved every bite. While this place wasn't my personal favorite, I'd definitely be willing to give it another shot because the menu has so many choices.

Today will be my first and last time eating from this establishment the only thing that was good was the sausages! Hash browns were disgusting, eggs had a slice of cheese on top wasn?t even melted and pancakes didn?t taste fresh

We had just enough time to eat some breakfast, but our schedule was tight. Our server was delightful because she held a great conversation yet she managed to quickly attend to all her customers. My son got soup and a sandwich. He was not disappointed. Hetalked about the tasty soup on multiple occasions after, high praise from a 17 year old! I got the egg and hash browns. It wassupposed to come with toast, but I was not in the mood for toast. Our server quickly offered me fresh fruit. I, too, enjoyedevery bite.

The food was delicious, and the service was both kind and prompt. It’s everything you want in a dining experience! Our water and coffee were consistently refilled, and the staff checked on us just the right amount. We had heard wonderful feedback from friends, and we wholeheartedly agree with them. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!
