Restaurant bewertenI called ahead to make a reservation and asked about the number of people in the restaurant. The person I spoke with said it should be fine as it was a Friday. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the restaurant was closed because they had not turned on the heating, but we could sit in the bar instead. Fortunately, there were a few open tables in the bar area, although it was quite snug. The menu had a decent selection of dishes at reasonable prices, and we were promptly informed of what was unavailable. The food appeared to be freshly cooked, but unfortunately, it was not executed well. We all agreed that the fries could have been fried longer for a crispier texture. The batter on my cod was soggy, and my husband's steak was slightly undercooked, leaning towards medium rare. Despite these shortcomings, we did not find it necessary to send anything back and ultimately cleared our plates.
This restaurant is in a great location and is quite spacious. It has a peaceful atmosphere with a lovely view of the sea. I enjoyed an Irish Whiskey from the bar and tried some of my friend's Irish Lamb Stew, which was very flavorful and tasted like good home cooking. It was perfect for warming us up on a cold Spring day. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant provided free WiFi and clean toilets. They handled a large group of tourists heading to Giant's Causeway very well. We were even given the lunch menu on our bus before arriving. I would definitely recommend this place.
The food at this restaurant was amazing, priced reasonably, and the location was perfect - right on the coastal causeway we had been driving on. It was a perfect way to end a long day!
