Restaurant bewertenUsed to work there for 4 years. Worked most fridays, and the weekends for weddings, and sometimes private parties. It's really a gem of a place, with it's view, with it's staff and owner, and the beach that faces the Opera House. The cafe is open two weekdays, and it's worth visiting. Although I, myself never got married, every couple that got married there left happy! I am most glad to have worked there, and to serve happy customers (one should wait tables once in their lives).
This old wooden dance hall is now a wedding reception venue and cafe. After a three hour walk from Kirribilli we were delighted to stumble across it, with it's wooden veranda and outside tables with exquisite views across to the Opera House. Service was warm and attentive. The food was delicious. Three pieces of grilled ocean trout layed atop a pile of fries with accompanying salad ($25). A salad of tomatoes and grilled haloumi ($18). A wonderful place for a peaceful lunch in tranquil surroundings.
Our daughter has just held her wedding at Athol hall and we were very impressed by the helpfulness of the staff and how well the wedding preparations were handled.the venue is perfect for a country style wedding and the food provided was very good and generously served. we enjoyed the event which had a lot to do with the non nonsense but caring attitude of staff as well as how unintrusive they were but at the same time making sure it all ran very smoothly . thank you!
We came across this while walking in the national park, the signs only stated a cafe so did not expect much on arrival. We sat on a fabulous old fashioned veranda, sipping a beer and dining on a luscious salad. The views are to die for, the wildlife fantastic and were even treated to the zoos falconry team giving a buzzard some exercise. What a way to spend our wedding anniversary afternoon, thank you.
We enjoyed our wedding at Athol Hall. It's a great venue with great views of the harbour. Unfortunately they treated our photographers very poorly and made them eat outside after they had worked 10 hours without break.
