Chilli & Basil Thai Restaurant

This is the best Thai, had the BBQ pork, and Barramundi with tamarind sauce. The service was fantastic, the price exceptionial should have been packed. Will definitely be back, Thanks you Chilli and Basil

I entered the store and was not greeted, ended up asking if I should seat myself. I was promptly brought a carafe of water the menus. I was the left waiting for 10. Minutes for someone to come take any order. Note that I was the only person in the restaurant. The place is licensed but have a limited selection of drinks. The laminated menu's look quite old and Dogeared. I ordered a Peroni and was served a corona, fortunately I don't mind either. A couple of minutes later the entree was served. The satay skewers were served without any form of salad but tasted nice and peanutty, it's a shame that it completely lacked any spice. The small coconut rice was a decent size and so was the massaman beef. The massaman was also completely free of spice or flavour other than peanut, not good. I suspect they use the same satay sauce for it. The only vegetable in it was big chunks of carrot. Why name a restaurant after chilli if the chef is scared to use it? The only reason they're not getting 1 star is the beef was tender the rice was nice.

We have had eat in and take away recently and both here top notch. The ingredients are fresh and flavourful. The dishes are full of flavour and ingredients, not like some places that’s all sauce or noodle. The service here is of a high standard and the staff are super friendly. The pricing is reasonable. They are happy to accomodate to request to have things removed if required (allergies ect.

Ordered via Menulog for home delivery it was fresh and hot on arrival, with the fried entree items still crispy. Rang before ordering to confirm no onions and garlic in the peanut sauce stir fry and the satay chicken sticks all good. This was an excellent meal (as above plus cashew stir fried beef), tasty, generous portions, and no onions/garlic in the peanut dishes as requested. The roti was just delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!

Take away food. We ordered curry puffs, Thai’s green curry and Roti. Absolutely delicious food. Can not fault the food from Chilli and Basil, it’s consistently good.
