Restaurant bewertenIf you are staying around the area then its the only place available unless you pull up a tombstone at the cemetry next door. It's overpriced for what it is. Worth getting an Uber or Taxi and go somewhere else.
I would look for another dinner choice. The food was not tasty, took a very long time to be served and the service was not great. Will not visit again.
This restaurant is attached to the Quest North Ryde hotel and as other reviewers have noted it does look closed. I was staying at the hotel and turned up and the restaurant certainly did not look prepared for guests etc but I was...seated when I found a member of staff. The menu was as expected for the Atlantis advertising I'd seen and included pizza but the logo outside suggested that the pizza place was a separate establishment. Not so. Anyway, I had the pizza and it was as good as I'd had anywhere with a generous portion of toppings and a nice crust. Can't stay fairer than that. Service a little slow considering I was one of only a handful of diners.
Restaurant looked closed and unprepared for guests (we had made a booking). Service was lacking and the food was over cooked. Salad was drowning in dressing. Staff didn’t seem to be trained in waiting! Suggest you try elsewhere.
Full Experience Review For the shorter food review go further down- This was a nice surprise for my Birthday last night. I have never been here before and didn’t realise the Restaurant existed as a local. On arrival the first trick to...make your visit run smoothly is to realise this is a Hotel restaurant. As part of the hotel there is limited parking as you enter the driveway. The tip is to ensure you drive to the right and down the ramp. Buzzer on the wall to the right near the bottom of the ramp will get you access to the underground car park. (Took us rounds walking inside to ask before we were aware) Internal lift up to the lobby restaurant and the restaurant is open plan, fairly tidy. Well utilised as you can see the benches serving tables stored against the wall. Has some breakfast cereals ready for the next morning breakfast service. I’m a seafood fan, with family in the seafood industry. Which is why my wonderful family selected this restaurant as a surprise. The name is a fair giveaway, Atlantis. The hero of the menu is a seafood platter. My observation was however that the core of the menu was not seafood, intact there are more pizza options than seafood. The restaurant features a large pizza oven near the back past the lounges. (Looks impressive though). There is NO resemblance of fresh seafood in tanks or seafood paraphernalia. (At this point it is just an observation) Kids order Chicken Mushroom a “Many Meat pizza”, (they aren’t as passionate about seafood as me it appears) Wife and I MUST get the platter. Our Aunty selects the Szechuan Squid Entree as her main. * SHORT VERSION FOOD READ HERE * Chicken Mushroom Average serving of chicken and a large serve of chips. Daughter like the chicken and left half the chips. like a pub meal. Not up to the standard of many other restaurants in this price range. “Many Meat Pizza” Son did not like it much and it appeared more as a Pepperoni pizza with large slithers of pepperoni, not much ground beef and very light sauce on the base. Not good value, not good quality, son said “had better pizza from the frozen range at Coles” left a quarter of it. Szechuan Squid Entree Tasted fairly good. Tender squid. Unfortunately the dish still looks like pre prepared calamari. I have had better at pubs around the area. They all got eaten though. ok, should just be called Crumbed Calamari. Doesn’t live up to the title on the Menu. Seafood platter for Half I really liked the other half somewhat of a disaster. Not so great: Tempura prawns thick batter and very oily. This made the prawn taste weird and has to be a disaster when of are left on the platter inedible. Balmain Bugs: Average dry unpleasant Calamari chips Same as above review-average. Sydney Rock Oysters: Did not taste fresh. They weren’t bad but weren’t the normal experience of local fish market or even Seafood counter at Coles. Good; Plain cooked prawns: Good Oysters Kirkpatrick: really well seasoned, hot and tasty. Crab: was fun to crack open and get into. (Could be improved by cleaning it first) Smoked salmon: Good Seasoned prawns: good Fish: I didn’t get any as the family ate it before I even saw it. So no comment hahahah. (Was a small serve of fish behind the chips basket) Fruit on the platter were adequate for display and watermelon was a fresh cleanser. BBQ Octopus: one of the best parts of the platter. All in all, not quite there for top end. Suits the Serviced Apartment in house dining option and menu suits the utility. I can’t say it left me feeling like I’d visited a Seafood inspired restaurant though, and that did leave me disappointed as the web page portrays this and the name. Overall
