Restaurant bewertenWe walked out of an unappealing Italian restaurant because of grumpy staff and into this highly professional and enthusiastic vibe at Mestizo. We had no booking but the owner made things happen for us. Food was fantastic and tasty. We had the Provoleta, Ceviche, and Risotto which were excellent. The bartender even made a special hot cocktail for my girlfriend suffering from a cold, which made her feel so much better. The homemade Crostata was the icing on the cake
We had a beautiful dinner at Mestizo. The food was rich and delicious, and presented stylishly. The service was good, they were very knowledgeable about each of the dishes and gave us good advice.
Given how great the menu looked, we decided to leave the tough decision making up to the chef and went with the five course tasting menu. Loved the breadth and variety of Latin American cuisine. Highlights were the Higos (figs with sobrassada and pistachios), empanadas and the drinks menu (Americano and Fernet Cola are a must try). An overall fun experience!
Had a pleasant dinner here in this busy restaurant on the main strip. Food was fine, although nothing stood out for us. The empanadas were nice, ceviche was in a milky sauce which was interesting but a bit too runny for me, sausage and potatoes were good, jamon and grilled cheese were ok. We didn't order any mains as we weren't overly hungry and wanted a light meal, but we will try the mains next time round.
Great place. Great vibes too, since we got to see a live band on Sunday night. Fantastic desserts. So good we had to come again to try them all. Good authentic South American dishes. There wasn’t so much fish in the ceviche and too much garlic but the experience overall was excellent. The host Jorge is super accommodating!
