Decent food, but far too overpriced. £21 for 2 mexican snack boxes is scandalous. My sister ordered a chilli dog, literally a small hotdog with a morsel of chilli on top, £7.50! Can get a JUMBO battered hotdog in Bridies for £3.50 that's twice the feed! Well seen it's the same owners as fire and stone pizza Would rather drive the whole way to Derry for a chippy (and still probably save money) than feed their greed Service: Take out
We were so looking forward to trying The Chippie based on word of mouth and great reviews. The Staff were brilliant and the place was spotless however unfortunately we were regretfully let down by the actual food. Although 1 portion of cod was ordered the remaining food items ie chicken tenders all tasted of fish. Assumptions is that they were cooked together in the one fryer? The chips although advising frying new potatoes were unfortunately overcooked maybe refried or left sitting. I based on previous the Chippie reviews would propose that this may have been a one off late on a Sunday evening so would consider a revisit but wanted to give this feedback for acknowledgement
The service was quite slow, and I'm not sure why, as the restaurant didn't seem overly busy. However, the food was good, and the staff was friendly.
As a gluten-free diner, I can confidently say that the chicken box was one of the best I've had in a long time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and engaged. I will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to my friends!
