Restaurant bewertenThis a cute little establishment that is frequented by celebrities and food connoisseurs. We visited on the way to the airport so there was not as much as we liked. Nonetheless food is exquisite and service is great. Staff don't speak any English. However we were undeterred and I am certain you will enjoy the ambiance as much the food.
We had dinner at this restaurant, parents and 3 adolescent children. The staff pretended not to understand English. We had some antipasti, 3 small courses of pasta and 2 courses of fish, drank only water and didn't have any desert. We paid 250 Euros. Sheer robbery.
She takes the most ordinary Italian food and brings it to perfection, and serves it elegantly. But you pay for it. Yes it is very expensive to eat there, but it is good. She is not your average local restaurant. Her restaurant is special. She show cases, her elegant silver service pieces on a table in the middle of the dining room.
Super dinner, typical dishes prepared with refinement, local chic.
Greeted by a bossy dominating owner. Upon asking her for the menu, she snapped in Italian saying don 't you know in this place there is no menu? ... Okay fine... we were willing to go along... although having now searched for a website and information online I don 't see any indication that there is no menu..... so we get a very average primi piati of tortellini nothing impressive, I couldn 't even finish mine... and then two of the tiniest pieces of fish with a salad leaf and 3 caremelised baby onions on the side which were not very tasty. The owner 's attitude was one of you should be so privelaged to be here and when the bill arrived it was Eur 150 with NO BREAK DOWN... we were really not impressed. I did wonder if non Italian speakers are given a basic menu and charged a lot more in this place having read the other 1 star reviews it would make sense. Looking at the photos too makes me think there was more on offer that we did not see (for much less) We were certainly not looking for a bargain necessarily but we paid half the price for MUCH BETTER FOOD in other places, as well as better wine, better service and better environment. Finally, the decor of this place might do it for some people but we made a reservation for 2 ppl and got seated on a huge 4 person table full of ornaments. Although the restaurant was empty, we were sat right next to another couple. It was difficult for my boyfriend and I to chat to one another given we were so far apart and had so many obstacles blocking us! And... there wasn 't much privacy. All in all a very disappointing experience but luckily we discovered some much better restaurants on our trip.
