Big Al's Take Bake - Kodiak

They're closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and they were also closed this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Last month, I was able to order a sub-sandwich from them, but I really don't understand how they stay in business if they're hardly ever open for takeout.

They really need to reconsider their staff and improve their training. I just had the worst "Garlic Chicken" pizza I've ever encountered. Instead of the usual tomato, they used some incorrect Canadian speck, and there wasn't even a hint of garlic or tomatoes! The ingredients were roughly crushed into large, inedible pieces, and it seemed like there was three times the usual amount of cheese. The crust was soggy, creating a true culinary disaster. I even struggled to unwrap it because it was so poorly packaged. Naturally, it went straight into the trash. I don't know what's happened to this place; they used to make great pizzas, but not anymore. My last two pizzas were made incorrectly, and the crust is consistently mushy. It's time to find another option in Kodiak.

The pizzas and subs here are among the best I've ever tasted. As someone who used to own a sandwich shop, I know a thing or two about sandwiches! They offer pizzas by the disc for lunch, which is fantastic for busy individuals. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. Just a tip: if you're in a hurry, make sure to call at least an hour in advance, and even more so if you're feeding a group, as they only have one location.

They have fantastic take and bake pizzas and the staff is great. They are so generous with their toppings you'd better leave it in the oven a few minutes extra to get the center to cook all the way.

The best pizza on the island! I highly recommend it to everyone.
